Washington Youth Soccer Risk Management

As of 12/12/2017, Referees are not required to have a RMA through WYSA (Washington State Youth Soccer Association). Referees will have RMA clearance through WSRC (Washington State Referee Committee) when they certify and recertify as a referee. WSRC will not certify/recertify someone as a referee if they do not pass a RMA. The WYSA operates a Risk Management program intended to protect Washington State minor children from exposure to individuals with backgrounds deemed inappropriate. This program requires that individuals coming into contact with WSYSA Youth players submit an application requesting clearance according to the rules and procedures set up by the WYSA. The WSRC RMA process meets this requirement for referees.
